O evento reconhece redes globais que subiram acima dos seus pares no ano passado. Os prêmios são baseados na excelência individual, práticas inovadoras e desempenho comercial. The event recognises global networks that have risen above their peers in the last year. The awards are based on individual excellence, innovative practices and commercial performance. Nexia experienced exceptional growth in 2012, with total revenue at US$2.8bn, up by 22% on the previous year – far in excess of other major global networks and reinforcing Nexia’s position among the top 10 leading accounting networks.
Recruiting high-quality firms in key and emerging world markets has been critical to the network’s success, alongside the delivery of several groundbreaking internal initiatives designed to benefit Nexia member firms. These include:
- Performance and Development Framework which sets out the skills and behaviours professionals need to demonstrate to ensure excellent performance
- CrossBorder database to encourage cross border referrals between member firms
- Nexia Independence Monitoring (NIMo) tool developed to help identify conflicts of interest between member firms.

Among the IAB’s independent judging panel were Sir David Tweedie, former International Accounting Standards Board Chairman and current President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland, and Sue Almond, Technical Director at the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
